Shadows Fall John Donais Testing Out Rivera Amp/Cab With ESP and MXR

Jon Donais is one of the better metal and music's best players. He gives you the goods playing with more of a crunch and dirty tone.I'm assuming he was at NAMM doing this.

If you're a lead guitar player or bass player,try playing to Jon. You might find it difficult.Jon may have changed his settings if he was doing a live or studio session.

I get the feeling he was testing out the Rivera to see how it would sound at higher levels whether playing cleaner or dirtier sounding riffs.That way he could know what tracks might be better for the Rivera. Hard to tell from the 4 or five minutes in this video.


But,this video could be a good way to train yourself as a sideman.


I'm still also interested in interviewing Donais and Zuess the Shadows Fall producer for more golden nuggets to take your playing and recording further as a result.

Look for ways to use concert footage as a way to train your playing when you can't play with other players.
