Most of us don't respect money or the time we have in our lives and live it paying it out to the wrong things.
Believe it or not I wrote that. I was looking at some stuff the Dalai Lama was saying in quotes which are everywhere now. But the one that really resonated with me was a quote from the Dalai, that went like this, and I'll paraphrase here like a bastard in my own words.
The picture to the left is of two people who knew what they wanted in life. I don't think I need to give you a hint as to who they are. Okay, it's Clapton and Harrison. Just kickin' back.
We waste our time just making money, then we waste our finances trying to cure our health with unnatural means. Then we worry about our health and lack of money and don't live life fully despite being wealthy, poor, or unhealthy. And along with that we think we'll have long lives anyway, and because of that don't become at one with our lives, our loved ones or the world.
I'm guilty of all that and more. So take the time to talk to and love your family. Stop just trading your time for money and literally losing precious moments of life. Do the things you really want in life. For me it's music and helping musicians, not doing 10 million other things to make money or make you feel better about yourself.
I'm going to enjoy this weekend and work just a little. How's bout you?
For Musicians, help out another musician by just talking to them and doing what I said and help them create their band's own media. Don't ask for anything in return guys. If you have to do that you're heading down the wrong path in life.
But enjoy life, love others respectfully and be productive and help others. Be good to your fellow musician who's just looking for a helping hand. Not a hand out.
Enjoy the weekend.
