Clapton Thinks Hendrix Will Take Over Rock n' Roll Like Tiger Woods

When Jimi Hendrix first burst onto the British music scene, the biggies of rock like Clapton thought that they were going to be taken over by Jimi in no time. The way he went on stage and just stormed through "Killin Floor" like it was a knife through butter just blew everyone away. Even before Hendrix went overseas he was considered a great when he began playing at Cafe Wha? in New York's Greenwich Village.

Just watch what some of the greats say about Jimi when he burst on the scene in the british music scene. They were just blown away with the way he took you on a musical journey, even with a simple song like "Hey Joe".

Learn a little about how Hendrix just became music's greatest player. His blues acumen and psychedelic like feel and texture took rock and blues to a whole new level, and even gave country blues riffs a bass like feel.

Go back and take a look at this piece on Hendrix and some of his old interviews, and you'll see where his music was taking you, and what he thought about music.
