David Bowie on vinyl. I don't have any anymore because I gave them away. I had a number of his albums from the 70's. That was the best material, including his Brian Eno collaboration(Outside).
But put your best foot forward regarding Bowie.
Wanna know how Bowie fans and artists?
If you're a guitarist and never really learned anything Bowie related. And lets face it Bowie material was never a staple at a jam session of any kind. It had that rock edge, but with a prog rock and new wave feel.
Sit down and listen to one of his old albums on vinyl or even a CD and find a song you can play to. I think that is a great way to pay homage to David,or getting your band to learn a song or two of Bowie's--and playing it.
Get all your band members to learn it at home as well on their own. That way your band feel like Bowie's material is their's as well.
We need to pay respects to those artists who are getting on in years, like the old blues men who I've interviewed in the past and should get back to.
So get on it and play some Bowie material.
