Derek Sherinian--One Of Rock's Top Players and Frontmen Gives Us "MataHari" Off His 2001 Inertia Album

Derek Sherinian,is the "Benny Goodman" of Rock N' Roll"!

Sherinian leads his own band, recruits the top players and does session work with the likes of Billy Idol and Yngwie Malmsteen.

Matahari is one of Sherinian's best songs from his Inertia album.A jazz, blues like track that you would hear from the top jazz axemen like Kevin Eubanks or Ali Dimeola.

Derek plays the keyboards like a shredding guitarist, and textural feel of Derek's work has been lauded and played on by many players.

On Inertia,we have Zakk Wylde,Steve Lukather on guitar. And we have Tony Franklin Bottom-Feeding on the bass, along with Simon Phillips on drums.I'm going to try and pull an interview and an article I did on Sherinian from at least 5 years ago in the next week.

I'm also doing an interview with Toney Springer,a Canadian Blues guitarist. So be ready for some great insights on blues from Toney and music industry know how from Derek.

Enjoy Derek's "Matahari".If you can, include it in your set list or jam session repertoire. For more info on Derek Sherinian and his material go to:
