How Your Band Can Get An Email List of Rabid Fans

Okay, I'm doing the offline version of how to get your band an email list of fans who love your gigs, CDs and what ever else you create oodles of value for them with.  Not everything your band does has to be associated with the internet. But, what i'm proposing will get their emails. I was just talking to a well known blues musician in my town at a local jam thursday night. Actually, it was the London Music Club here in London, Ontario Canada.

I got talking to him about my Press Kit Writing Service. But we got talking about getting fans. He started talking about a webpage and all that. I said before you do that why don't you offer fans at your gigs something free, in exchange for their email.

This way you can offer them something for free before even talking about where you're playing and    when. Here's what to offer them. Free tickets, free CDs and offer to play for free at certain gigs with   better known bands in exchange for fan's email. Offer to have one fan interview your band at your gig.

Do Q and A sessions with fans either before or after gigs as well. This will have fans beating a path to your door. Even though the internet is very pervasive, it's not the be all end all. Most of your band's business will be offline. But grabbing emails from fans can be a great way to have instant customers for Cds, band merch and a lot of your gigs.

I'm keeping this short and sweet and I'll add to this little tip to an email list of rabid fans soon.

Take these tips and run with them guys.
