I grabbed this You tube video that was originally supposed to be about Warren Buffet, one of the World's richest men. But Jay-Z one of the most influential and resourceful music business owners around, even taught me a thing or two in this video. He talks about how the music business used to be in that artists were beholden to the label and were lucky to even do this for a living.

But guys like Jay-Z were able to show the music and business world that musicians could make a living as artists, and should be able to create wealth for themselves, and to help the music community. He also talked about doing the music you love, understand and can make a living at.

It's 10 minutes and well worth the watch to learn something. Even for died in the wool metal, rock or blues cats.
