Why The Fuck Can't I Get More Fans Out My Blues Shows?--And Why The Shitty Player Gets More Fans And CD Sales

Did that rattle a nerve fellow bluesmen?

I just listened to an incredible audio podcast from one of the better advertising copywriters on the planet and a hell of a axeman; John Carlton. This is a guy who has his finger on the pulse of how to really get into the blues fans brain and make them want to go to your shows, and buy your CDs. Hey, the reason I said that last part is some blues or metal cat out there may have a shitty live show and CD, but his band makes money hand over fist while your band flounders to get 10 people to a gig, or even buy a cd--even though you're 10 times better.

Sucks doesn't it...

Well, John knows how to delve into the part of the brain that makes people buy your cds and tickets to your shows. Hell, how to open up for 3 months for a band that makes 100 G's a show and your band could make 10 grand a show. Not bad eh?

Okay, there's a reason I'm telling you all this shit. Well, it's not shit but John can help your band see what your fans and potential ones are thinking, and how to turn objections of buying CDs and tickets to your shows int o a big fat yes!!

And how to open for that band you always wanted to open for.

Okay, this next part I implore you to do if you ever want to learn anything about your audience. Think of what will happen if you don't learn about your audience. You won't make the cash you want. Right? I know I'm right.

This is a link to John's audio podcast on knowing how to get into the psychology of people. It's on a laymen's level so you understand it. John made a lot of cash in the advertising business writing ad copy for some of the biggest companies out there, so I think we should all heed his words. He knows what he's talking about.

Here's the link.  Well, not quite yet. I know you'll learn a lot so take notes. Go to the sites he suggests as well. Get your blues band members in on it so they learn a thing or two as well. If you understand your audience and are able to make sales because of that, your band will feel more empowered to do big things, and open for the bands that make big bucks.

Jam, write, record and be the kind of musician blues guys from 40 or 50 years ago would have been like.

Much success guys.
