Contrarian Amp Overdrive Tip From Robin Trower--Even Though He Didn't Think So

I put this up on Facebook originally. This tip to overdrive the amp is for those who think differently. As well, I want you to read the interview with Robin Trower to glom some great tips, not just on this amp OD tip, but what Trower did with his music over the years, and how his sound evolved.
   
Hey Musicians, looked at an interview Robin Trower did in the July issue of Guitar Player. Great tip on how to be different than everyone else when overdriving your amp. And it's not using a stomp box either.

This is just something Robin did when he played with Procol Harum. He didn't think anything of it really, other than a way he was using to OD the big amp. I've got the link to the interview right here. I implore you to read the whole interview. Trower is considered one of the greats who was up there with Hendrix.
