Geezer Butler And EMG Pickups---A Music Merger Made In Heavy Metal Heaven

The NAMM show is coming up soon, and all the top amp, guitar, strings and pickup makers; you name it, are hawking their wares at the next NAMM show. If you don't know what NAMM is, it's National Association Of  Music Merchandisers. And they have an annual show where the top music equipment companies, and independent ones sell and try to convince musicians and other companies in the music biz to do business with them.

I'll put up the date to the NAMM show right here. It's January 23rd to 26Th. Anaheim, California.

As well, they try to convince top players to try out their product and get droves of players clamoring for their stuff. But EMG has finally come out with a new signature Bass Pickup--that has the approval of The Black Sabbath Bottom Feeder--himself Geezer Butler. Geezer has had issues with many pickups over the years including Fender. Good fuckin' god! Yeah, even Fender has it's issues.

What GB was looking for was that vintage tone that took him back to his late 60's early 70's tone and feel.
Even in the video of Geezer using a Lakland Bass which Geezer has a signature deal with, I would assume, he was grinding down on those EMG's.

Geezer had never used his name on any Pickups before, but these pickups tingled his old tone like no other,
and he gladly put his name on the EMG pickups! Just listen to the tone Geezer is getting off these. It would be well worth it to grab a set of these Bass pickups. And no, I don't get any kind of commission for this.

Here is where you can grab these Signature Geezer Butler EMG GZR-P Pickups. If you go to the show you can pickup a GB Lakland Bass at booth#:5496. You can grab EMG Bass pickups, of the Geezer Butler kind at booth#:4784.

I don't know if you can pick them at a retail store or online yet. But watch this short video of Geezer talking about EMG pickups, and playing a bit of that old school metal like tone that I love, and real bass players love like you!
