Musicians,Tell Me Why You Don't Want Success?

I'm bewildered fellow musicians.

Besides working a regular job you want to be a dedicated working musician.

Right?

Right.

If you really want this you have to be willing to go without sleep at times:possibly for days.

If you want success as a musician be willing to do what the other guy wants. Because chances are
some other musician just starting out wants it more than you or anyone else.

Playing gigs for free, play jam sessions locally and interview musicians better than you as well.

Like I keep saying constantly if you want to open for bands locally you need to help other bands
by interviewing them, getting them media attention and writing articles for them.

And not ask for anything in return. At least not yet.

Do your own gigs as well and write your own promo articles and have other members of your band
interview each other. Yeah, you're thinking that's insane but you have to think differently that's all.

Even do local press conferences with bands you're opening for,and make them the centre of attention.
Learn all you can about playing, recording and setting up your own rigs, and learn how to get session work as a player in between gigs.

If you love being a musician you'll do these things to become the musician everyone wants to open for them,or have you doing session work. If you want to learn more and have me write articles and promotional material for you and your band, just email me at: mdgrove@inbox.com

Or go make a poutine sandwich and do nothing like most bands.

Get some balls and become the musician you want to be.

So get started today or get shit from this grizzled old timer.
