Jimi Hendrix--Has His Playing Inspired You To Play Better,Record Better or Just Be A better All Around Musician?

Jimi Hendrix, has his studio and live work inspired you to re-work not just his material but your own?
Too many musicians just watch other players and never take notes on how to improve their own playing, recording or getting ideas that could propel into well paid session work.
It's not that tough guys. Some of the best ideas come from watching other players at local blues jam sessions. I watched a 65 year old guitar player last year who listened well to other players, applied the other players techinques, and used that that to fuel their own riffs and improvise slightly. Literally finding new ways of playing and writing their own material.
This senior player could play better than most players and had a feel that even the best never had. I was blown away, and so was Pete the owner of the London Music Club. Who mind you is one of my favourite players.
Some of the best inspiration is from local players who will never make 50 G's a night on the big stage. Use the brain you have to come up with ideas you never thought possible and take action!
