Have Metal Musicians Lost Their Feeling And Emotion For Playing Music And Lost Touch With Blues?

Hey Buddy, I was just looking at an article in Guitar World from LA based musician Will Wallner. Will has a regular blog post in GW, and has a great following as a musician. He has a lot to say on many aspects of music and how things have changed over the years to do with working musicians. In this article from Will, he talks about the lack of blues feeling in today's metal players, and why we need to come back to blues and inject that back into metal or what ever type of music you play.

I've included a link to Will's article which you will find very interesting. What I found to be very compelling is the fact that many players think that blues is easy, dull and not worth pursuing. I beg to differ. It may be easy for some players, but try playing it at a higher level and for a lifetime.

Jimmy Page actually said: it's tough to create something original from the Blues Masters of the past.

So click on the link to Will's article. Will has some great acumen into music for someone who's a metal player. It would be well worth your time to read his material on the Guitar World blog and learn from him. If you live in the LA area go seek him out and listen to his material.

Then go to your local blues jam and get the blues feeling back!! Now click the link to Will's article below.

Much success to all musicians.
