Warren Haynes Tech Brian Farmer Talks About Challenges In Getting That Sweet Sound From Warren and Derek Trucks Amps--And How Band's With 2 Axemen Can Benefit

Brian Farmer,Tech for Warren Haynes talks about getting both Warren's and Derek's amps to gel together for a better tone. And why even though both players have played and composed music that is similar, that playing even in different band's can sometimes make it difficult to get dual guitarist's sound to get to the Sweet Spot". As well Brian talks about amps and the fact that you can sometimes get the right sound without even realizing it, and without tweaking it much.

Brian also stated that Warren likes to keep things simple with amp settings and not have to crank it like many players. Brian refers to two things specifically on the amp that players can tweak to get amps to mould together for better tone. Don't constantly tweak everything thinking that somehow magically your sound will be kick ass.

I guarantee yor band will learn a lot and they should all watch it together. Much success in creating your band's original sound.

Gov't Mule Guitarist Warren Haynes--Gives His Take On Becoming A Real Musician

Warren Haynes is one Axeman I respect and look forward to hearing all the time. David Specter, a well known blues/jazz player interviews Warren and asks questions that the answers Warren gives are "Pure Gold" to players who take action on them, and become better players and bands.

Warren also talks about the guitars he uses, his amp rig and some amps he uses you might want to try out at your local music store and see if your guitar and playing style resonate with.Warren also chats about technique and even why not every night is a good night onstage--even for the best players.

He even espouses some insight into practicing and why we need to listen to our past music greats even more than today's.

Warren is one of the greats who doesn't showboat, but can solo like a bastard his way, not someone else's way. It would be well worth it for your band to listen to one of the best Blues/Jam bands in the last 30 years, that being Gov't Mule. If you get the chance, your band should go see a Mule concert. You'll gain even more insight into being a gigging band. If you can swing it, interview Gov't Mule. Why can't you?

Watch this whole interview with Warren and you'll learn a lot if you take action on it.

I'll leave the link to the Gov't Mule site right here guys. Enjoy, and have a great weekend playing where ever your band is.

Musicians,Learn To Jam From These Two Pros Warren Haynes And Trey Anastasio

These two pros Warren Haynes of Gov't Mule and Trey Anastasio of Phish show players the simplicity of jamming and how you should just play without thinking about it too much. How your jamming can meld together if you learn to phrase properly and even bring in a bass type feel to regular blues jams. This is a great jam session by both these axemen.

Watch and learn.

Blues Guitar Note Bending Lesson With Blues Guitar Jam King Warren Haynes

This is a great little short how to note bending video from Canadian Guitar Player that shows you up close how to bend notes and use that blues guitar voicing that is so pervasive with blues players like yourself.

If you don't know Warren Haynes is well known as playing with The Allman Brothers and his main band Gov't Mule.Warren shows you how to bend notes before you even hit them with your picking hand.

This little Note Bending will also teach you how bend a note without going overboard. Then using that blues sixth sense to teach you voicing that takes your playing up a notch.

Using that note tension and shaking it will give your blues
guitar feel that vibrato you've always been looking for.

Have fun with it.
