Buddy Guy Says: Is Blues Music Dead? Well,Not Exactly

Is Blues Music Dead? I sometimes wonder about what people think about blues music. With the advent of the internet, and the burgeoning concert scene, no one actually goes to local blues clubs to support their local bluesmen. A lot of blues cats are dying off as well.
I wonder what Dee Curtis--my friend and true bluesman thinks of all this. He's a Detroit bluesman brought up on real music. The reason I bring this all up is Buddy Guy did a recent interview and wondered where blues music is headed. And will the blues players of today keep the real tradition of blues alive?
This is an important interview.and one not just music fans should read, but true blues fans.
Please keep blues alive. If it wasn't for players like Buddy Guy,BB King,Muddy Wateers and the great blues rock players of the 60's and 70's,we would not have real music. Please head out and support local blues cats.
For all you blues lovers out there in London,Ontario Canada, go to the London Music Club for great blues at their thursday blues jams. There may not be as many people there in the middle of the summer. But by September the blues jam will kick into high gear. www.londonmusicclub.com

By the way, this is the link to this important interview with Buddy Guy on the future of the blues.
